A Bookish Bridal Shower
April showers really are a thing! Back in April, I was blessed to receive so much love and joy from my family and friends at my bridal shower. It was such a beautiful day surrounded by all the amazing women in my life, and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to celebrate.
My mother, with the help of my sister, bridesmaids, mother-in-law, new cousins, and my father, made this day so outrageously me. It was more perfect than anything I could have ever dreamed up. I can’t believe how personal it really was. From the decorations to the games, everything was excellent!
My one (really two) request(s) to my mother when she said she was planning my bridal shower were to know when it was, so I knew I would be dressed for the occasion, and to help pick out the favors, because I had something specific in mind. Otherwise, the entire event was up to her to design, and she nailed it!
As an avid reader and book lover, I enjoy many aspects of the hobby. Therefore, it was only fitting for teacups, books, plants, literature quizzes, and more to make an appearance at my shower.
Something I will never forget from this day was the fantastic setup from my (Stephen’s) cousin Kristy. She is a highly talented baker with the skills to create backdrops and scenes for the events for which she creates treats. She designed an impressive book wall, a beautiful book cake, with delectable treats surrounding the vanity and other bridal yet bookish setup. My father snapped some gorgeous photos, and it truly was one of the most remarkable, most personal experiences I have ever encountered put together by so many incredible people in my life.
A special shoutout to my mom for spoiling me and doing so much to make the day as perfect as possible. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make my bridal shower so beautiful and flawless. I love you all!
If you’re as big a book nerd as I am, I hope your bridal shower (or any party specifically for you) can be equally as perfect!
As always, thanks for reading! 💜
